While Hángzhōu itself is nothing special, West Lake (Xīhú) is very beautiful with a rich history.
Hángzhōu is located a couple of hours southwest of Shànghǎi by train or bus. We took a bus from Sūzhōu.

Hángzhōu is also a mecca for green tea (lǜchá). We visited the National Tea Museum located a short bus ride from West Lake.
